Why CSTI?

Carbon SiC Technologies, Inc. (CSTI) is strengthening the U.S. industrial base by developing and manufacturing critical materials such as carbon–carbon, carbon–ceramics, ultra-high temperature ceramics (UHTCs), and more. Using our proprietary, patented, and patent-pending Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) methods, we can rapidly produce materials that traditionally take months in just days—delivering breakthrough affordability, speed, and scale.

 

Our work addresses urgent needs across both defense and commercial markets. In defense, CSTI is partnering with the Army, Navy, and Air Force to deliver materials that enhance readiness, lower sustainment costs, and support applications ranging from armor to contested logistics and hypersonic thermal protection. In the commercial sector, CSTI’s advanced carbon–carbon brake systems improve efficiency and durability while reducing lifecycle costs for heavy fleets and passenger vehicles.

CSTI’s advanced carbon composites are engineered to achieve near-theoretical densities with exceptional thermal stability, mechanical strength, and oxidation resistance when paired with protective coatings.
